Springfield's Varsity Wrestlers Rock Otter Valley

The team scored 5th place overall at a varsity tournament on December 29th, under the direction of Coach Floyd Buck, Jr. and assistant coaches John Stafford, Jr. and Bradley Bennett, veterans of the Springfield wrestling program.

Juniors Skylar Wallace and Brandon Bennett each landed a 2nd place medal; freshmen Bryan Stafford and Tim Amsden earned thrid-place spots on their respective podiums, along with sophomore Donavin Sprano. Sophomores Jeremy Curfman and Skyler Congdon each put in a full day of grappling, with Congdon racking up two more wins by pin.

The varsity team hosts wrestlers from Mill River in a dual meet on Wednesday, January 9th at Park Street School, beginning at 6pm. Admission is free; the team welcomes the public to enjoy some top-notch varsity wrestling, and to cheer on the home team!
